Conceptual Design

Conceptual design represents an excellent opportunity to bring an interior designer into the process. This is one of the interior design services we offer for clients undertaking a new home build or renovation, allowing us to work with architects, builders, renovators, and homeowners. This phase also allows us to get fully involved, working closely with our clients from the beginning to achieve an interior style that fits our clients’ desired outcomes.

Our role can take many forms during this early phase of design from high-level feedback during schematic drawings or construction documents, to establishing the design of every interior space and detail.

Hello

Learn about us during an initial call or email, followed by an appointment to discuss your project and our role. We ask for you to provide pictures, colors, finishes, and other helpful details. For remodels or additions, we'll measure and photograph the space for reference.

Contract & Estimate

Once we understand your project’s scope, budget and your expectations of us, we will send you a contract with a detailed estimate (for your approval) of what is required to complete your interior space plans, 2D & 3D CAD drawings, elevations or renderings.

Design

This is when we begin to work with you, your architect, contractor and/or structural engineer to review or design an interior that meets your aesthetic and lifestyle needs. In this final step, we will create the drawings that are needed. We will document any further details and specifications that are determined and present to you for final approval.

Material Specifications

Our material specification service is one of the interior design services we offer to clients undertaking a new home build, remodel, or even cosmetic updates. We correspond regularly with architects, builders, renovators, sub-contractors, vendors, and most of all homeowners to coordinate selections.

Review

Once we receive your approval, we will do a complete review of your project’s architecture, design style, scale, budget, allowances, lifestyle, etc. to carefully explore, plan and begin to create your original design.

Selections

At this stage, we'll start coordinating with builders, remodelers, subcontractors, vendors, and homeowners to finalize selections. Room schedules, paint schedules, and any other necessary schedules will be created. We will also document further details and specifications to keep everyone informed about decisions or changes.

Implement

During this phase, we are very often onsite to confirm that items are received in good condition, installed correctly and that our details and specifications are followed properly to ensure you receive your desired outcome.

Next is the fun part where we bring some of your visions to life as we work on space planning. We will create drawings of furniture layouts and interior elevations to help determine the items needed for each space. We will also begin the process of selecting fixtures, furniture and fabrics.

Cost Estimates

At this stage, once the items have been selected we will present to you cost estimates for your review, revision and approval. ,

Implement

Once we receive final approval of the items selected we will also aid in the coordination of the purchase, shipping and the placement of each selected item.
